Description

QHY OAG-M Pro Off-Axis Guider - Medium - Pro

Greatly improve your guiding accuracy and image stability with the QHY OAG-M Pro! When it comes to guiding, the more stars available to choose from, the better. Introduce your OTA’s large aperture to your guide camera and greatly increase the number of guide stars accessible. Eliminating the problem of vignetting that OAGs with smaller prism sizes are known to produce, the QHY OAG-M Pro offers a large prism size for guide cameras with larger sensors, utilizing your guide camera’s full light gathering ability!

Increased Guiding Accuracy
By eliminating the need for a second guide scope, the QHY OAG-M Pro allows your guide camera to have the same field of view as your imaging camera, reducing differential flexure. This same field of view allows for improved guiding accuracy, something especially important for long focal length telescopes. This QHY OAG-M Pro has a durable and robust design, securing your guide camera in place and offering accurate alignment with your imaging camera.

Ideal for Large Sensor Guide Cameras
Using guide cameras with large sensors allows for a greater field of view, in turn increasing the number of guide stars accessible. With this in mind, the OAG installed must have a prism size that can accommodate for larger sensors in order to maximize the improved light gathering ability of these types of guide cameras. As opposed to the standard 8x8mm QHY OAG series that resulted in serious vignetting while using large sensor guide cameras, the new QHY OAG-M Pro offers a substantial prism size of 10x14mm, allowing your camera to utilize its full light gathering power and greatly increase the number of guide stars available!
