This is an interesting item. It's a dual mount - a female Vixen mount on the bottom and on top. This is for mounting a guidescope without rings onto a telescope that has a top Vixen rail. You can align the guidescope perfectly to the main scope, or you can offset the guidescope from the main scope, so that you can get onto a guidestar.

If you have a telescope with a top Vixen rail on it, and want to mount a second telescope (which already has a Vixen dovetail on the bottom) that's 10 lbs. or less onto the top of the first telescope, this is designed to let you do that, too. It has adjustments for making sure the two scopes are aligned with each other.
